Customer Survey

A big thank you to everyone who filled in our recent survey and congratulation to jansen_audio, the winner of the prize draw.

Looking at your opinions we have concluded that the vast proportion of you are very happy with Tradevine and think it represents great value for money.

More importantly, you have told us where we can improve, in particular we need to have a look at:

  • importing/exporting data
  • creating products
  • getting started with Tradevine

We’ll be looking to address these areas in the coming months. Remember we always welcome suggestions on how we can improve.

Courier Solutions

We released the Tradevine API a little earlier in the year and we look with interest at those that have integrated into Tradevine. There have been a couple of stand-out projects that you should take a look at, both aim to save you money on your courier charges.

startship

StarShipIt allows you to print shipping labels directly from your Tradevine orders, and supports most domestic and international couriers.

Their new Magneto-Tradevine tool allows you to import stock items and sync stock numbers between these two platforms.

GO_Sweet_Spot_final_02

As NZ’s largest courier and freight aggregator, we at goSweetSpot provide you with attractive rates via our freight management system for services from our carefully selected domestic & international supplier partners.

goSweetSpot is all about introducing time and effort efficiencies, plus cost savings and visibility for you and your business.

Warehousing

Multi warehousing has been added to the Professional, Enterprise and Trial plans. You can now add as many warehouses as you like. These can be of type:

  • Own – warehouses where you own the stock and you do the shipping.
  • 3PL – warehouses where you own the stock but a third party logistics partner does the shipping.
  • Supplier – inventory held by a supplier.

You can control the shipping and stock status of each warehouse, as well as transfer stock between warehouses. You can also amend the warehouse assigned to a shipment, after we have auto assigned the shipments to the warehouses that have stock. Tradevine users can also now email each 3PL warehouse with a pick-list of shipments ready to pack and 3PL warehouse staff also now have a dedicated cut down Fast Shipping screen for confirming the shipments (with their tracking details) directly on your behalf.

Direct delivery and auto restock are due in a future release.

Zebra label printer

You can now print shipment and product labels using a Zebra printer.

Courier changes

Courier Xpress and goSweetSpot have been added to the list of couriers.

  5. We no longer compress images of any type that are below 1280 pixels wide or tall. For images greater than this we have improved how we compress large images without noticeably compromising the quality of the image.

All of these improvements are based on customer feedback. We are planning to release further improvements on a regular basis. Your feedback is vital to ensuring that we’re working on the most important things first. If you have any suggestions, then check out our suggestions page where you can also vote. Retiring Old Plans

Back in May we introduced a range of new pricing plans to offer our members more choice and flexibility.

At the same time we stopped offering the old plans to new members, however existing members could elect to switch to a new plan or remain on their current one.

From September 2 we will be retiring the old plans.

How does this affect you?

If you are currently subscribed to the Free or Standard plan you will need to select a new plan on, or before, September 2.

Choose a plan that works best for you.

Any questions or suggestions around the new pricing plans, please flick us an email at support@tradevine.co.nz.

Bulk approval of sales orders

You can now approve Sales Orders in bulk from the Sales Orders screen.

Release Date:   Thursday 9 May 2013 5:00pm

Implemented in this release

Sales Order and Invoice footer text

You are now able to add your own text and graphics to the bottom of the Sales Order Confirmation and Invoice PDFs. This is configurable via the Trade Settings screen. This is useful for custom payment details or adding terms and conditions.

Listings screen layout

We have improved the layout on the Trade Me Listings screen:

  • start date has been added
  • withdrawn listing indicator
  • a More info link which shows
    • the method used to create the listing
    • the Trade Me success fees
    • the Gallery Plus status
    • the time the listing was last checked by Tradevine

Ignore Feedback for a product

On individual listing rules you can now override the global settings so that feedback is not placed.  You can also choose to ignore customer feedback by product.

Default Listing comment

It is now possible to define a listing comment that will automatically be added to all new listings.  The comment will be added a few minutes after the listing has been made.  The first time you define the global comment it will also be added to active listings.

Ad-hoc Listing comment

In addition to the default listing comment you can add a comment to active listings at any time.  You can only do this once for each listing.

Trade Me customer reminders

The Trade Me customer reminders for missing addresses and non-payment are now based on working days instead of calendar days.

New Sales Channel filters on Sales Orders and Shipment’s screen

We have modified the filters for the Sales Order and Shipment screens to include the Trade Me Channel and Shopify Channel.

Trade Me listing failure reasons

The product’s listing rule now displays the reason a product failed to list.

Authenticated Trade Me Bidders when importing active listings

When importing Active Listings we can now detect the Authenticated Bidder setting

Declined Trade Me FPOs

We can now detect when members decline an FPO. This means that we can now immediately relist a product when the offer has been rejected by all recipients, rather than having to wait until the offer time has elapsed.

Trade Me listing quantity adjustments

Trade Me listings with Buy Now Only quantities greater than one, were being withdrawn when the available stock quantity dropped below the listing quantity (if the auto-withdraw setting was on). Now the listing is only withdrawn if there is no stock, otherwise the quantity is re-adjusted on the active listing.

Xero Tracking Categories

It is now possible to map a Xero tracking category option to each of your sales channels, as well as manual sales orders. This helps you run reports in Xero which group the revenue by sales channel. You will need to configure tracking in Xero and then map these in Tradevine.

API – Create Sales Order

Release Notes – 16 April 2013

Release Date:   Tuesday 16 April 2013 5:00pm

Implemented in this release

Archive products

You can now archive unwanted products. Archiving can be turned on or off for each product. Once archived, the product will not be visible on your product list views and searches, unless you set the view filter to include the archived products.

Archived products will not be listed on Trade Me. Archived products will remain untouched in Shopify.

In a future release we will be removing the Archived label, so if you are currently using this label you might want to migrate to a different label and/or use the new archiving switch.

Tradevine API

We have released the first phase of our API that allows users to remotely hook into their data. This includes:

  • Extracting sales and shipment info.
  • Extracting core product data including inventory.
  • Sending shipment and tracking information to us.
  • Sending revised inventory counts to us.

More information on our API can be found at https://api.tradevine.com

Tradevine Support user

You can allow a Tradevine Support user to access your account and provide assistance by selecting Invite Tradevine Support from the Help icon.

Faster bulk auto-listing with photos

We now pre-emptively upload photos to Trade me once they are associated with products, so if you are creating a lot of new listings for the first time, this should now be even faster.

Trade Me Pay Now commission rate

We can now detect the exact Pay Now rate from Trade Me as you come in and out of the Top Seller programme, so your Xero invoices should always contain the correct rate which will make reconciliation even better.

Importing Product Changes

If you import or re-import your products then you may be interested in the following changes.

New:

  • Is Archived – (General).

For more information refer to the Import Fields Help page.

  2. The floating pricing on a product listing rule wasn’t always up-to-date, depending on what was updated.

What’s Next?

  • Even though we have released the first phase of our API we are continuing to add to the API, e.g. the ability to add sales orders from 3rd party web-carts.

All of these improvements are based on customer feedback. We are planning to release further improvements on a regular basis. Your feedback is vital to ensuring that we’re working on the most important things first. If you have any suggestions, then check out our suggestions page where you can also vote. Otherwise, feel free to drop us a line at suggestions@tradevine.co.nz with your feedback.
