New features in this release

Product photos – sales and shipments grids

We have added a product details button to the sales orders grid and the shipments grid. This allows you to quickly preview the products on the sales order or the shipment without having to open them.

Pro forma invoices

You can now print or email pro forma invoices. This is available when you view an unpaid sales order.

Combining paid sales orders

When combining multiple paid awaiting shipment sales orders, the paid status is now retained.

BoMs – auto-calculated weights option

We now provide an option to auto-calculate the weight of the BoM kit using the weight of the components.

Importing product changes

If you import or re-import your products then you may be interested in the following changes.

Exporting products to Excel

Exporting your products to a file is now more robust. Excel didn’t like data that commenced with a character that it thought was either a formula or mathematical like a hyphen, a forward slash or the equals sign. We are now making Excel play more nicely.

Key Bug Fixes

  1. We were incorrectly advising Trade Me members they had insufficient funds when they were set up for auto-billing.
  2. We are now more accurately reporting the Pay Now commission in Xero for members who sometimes drop in and out of Top Seller.

Trade Me – Pass the Parcel

When Pass the Parcel tracking references are automatically populated on the note on your Sold Items in Trade Me the tracking reference is now also automatically populated on your sales order and your shipment in Tradevine.

Alerts

We have added Alert notifications to your main menu. This allows us to notify you of important messages. A badge icon will display the number of unread messages.

Shipments report

We have added more columns to the Shipments report:

  • Unit Price Inc Tax (sales order unit price)
  • Line Total Inc Tax (per shipment line)

Re-authorise Xero

On the occasions when Xero needs to be re-authorised you will now be immediately redirected from any of the screens that relate to Xero and taken directly to the re-authorise screen.

Tradevine API

We have added new API end points for purchase orders and goods receipts.

Key Bug Fixes

  1. It was not possible to create a listing for a BoM (Bill of Materials) kit product if the product was configured to be an MQL (multi-quantity) and all of the component products were non-inventory products.

Faster interaction

The following Trade Me interactions will now be visible inside Tradevine within a few seconds:

  • sold and unsold listings
  • payments received
  • buyer addresses received for sold listings
  • questions received
  • buyer feedback
  • accepted and declined FPOs
  • new listings when stock is available
  • updating MQL listings with lower quantities

This includes detecting interactions that were made directly within Trade Me and outside of Tradevine like withdrawn listings, answered questions and FPOs made.

Previously these interactions could take up to 5 minutes to process.

Pay Now variations

We have added a new Pay Now received section to the bottom of the sales order to show you the outstanding balance. Generally this will be zero but this feature is useful for combined orders.

Sales order notes

A new read only My Trade Me Notes section has been added to the Notes section on your sales order for any notes you have made against the sale on the Trade Me side.

We have added more detail to the private notes on your sales order when orders are combined.

The public notes have also been improved so that the message from the buyer is also referenced with more information.

Tradevine is the master

We have added a reminder banner to the default settings screen to re-enforce the understanding that changes should be made through Tradevine whenever this is possible, otherwise you risk being out of sync with Shopify itself.

Key Bug Fixes

  1. A Shopify error was sometimes encountered when a manual order did not have an email address or customer name.
  2. When importing photos for variant type products and pushing the products to Shopify, the first product would sometimes encounter an error.

Auto reorder purchase orders

When auto generating purchase orders for products below your minimum stock thresholds, the products will now be ordered on the purchase order by the product code.

New e-Retail Distribution courier

E-Retail Distribution has been added as a courier option.

Shipments report

The warehouse code has been added to the Shipments report.

  • External Product ID (Shopify)

Selling Channel layouts

We have revamped the way we display the selling channels. Trade Me and Shopify now have their own tabs when you view a product. The default settings screens have also been split out into their own menus.

Shopify product redirects

When the URL handles for a product are not as up-to-date in Tradevine as they are in Shopify, Shopify should now redirect web users to the latest product.

Importing product changes

Key Bug Fixes

  1. It is no longer possible to configure FPOs to be based on a start or reserve price when the listing was for a Buy Now only.
  2. Very occasionally we would duplicate Trade Me listings. We have taken measures to code against this anomaly.
  3. Multiple accounts can now bulk update products to Shopify at the same time.
  4. A session time out panel was erroneously displayed on a sales order when a warehouse did not have an address.

Clear filter when navigating

You can now clear a filter when navigating your products and sales orders etc with next and previous.

Shopify duplicates

Now when you duplicate your Shopify products we will create a new URL handle to ensure uniqueness and to avoid duplication conflicts.

  1. Xero’s zero rated tax was not being applied to shipping.
  2. The cost price in the metrics panel on the sales order was sometimes incorrect after adding a new Shopify product.

Xero – Zero rated tax

When your sales orders are for countries outside of New Zealand then Xero’s Zero rated tax code will be applied.

Trade Me – max listings

The Dashboard’s active listing link has been updated so that it now displays your maximum listings cap. This does not apply if you are on the Enterprise plan.

Trade Me – bad feedback

The Feedback requiring action link on the Dashboard will now include neutral or negative feedback which was received after you gave feedback.

Cost pricing

We have made it much quicker and easier to recost your products.

Shopify images

We have made some improvements to the way your Shopify images are linked to your products. This should improve your SEO rankings.

You should now be able to upload your product photos via your iPad.

Cosmetic product changes

We have made some minor layout changes to the way each product’s info is displayed.

The Trade Me Product/Rules menu has also been promoted up the menu.

Key Bug Fixes

  1. Warehouse only users who also had their own Tradevine accounts were erroneously able to view more than they should about the other users login.
  2. It is now not possible to set up product rules in restricted categories.
  3. Bulk updating your promo templates was incorrectly being applied to all rules instead of just the rules featured in the filtered view.

In accordance with Trade Me’s photo policy, photos will now be checked to ensure the longest side is at least 500 pixels in length.

  1. The checking of new and current listings sometimes remained deactivated when an inactive account changed to a new plan.
  2. Firefox and Internet Explorer now better handle copy and paste where we were allowing a direct copy to occur.
